I’m in the studio again. I think this is the 4th week on the trot. Actually it might be the 5th week but I’m not too sure as I think my brain has rotted ever so slightly during the process of putting our tracks down. Is it still Summer or are we in Winter now?
On Saturday I went to a reunion at my old university in Nottingham. I got to catch up with some old pals, which was ace. It made me realise how little I’ve changed since those days. Maybe I’ll grow up sometime but at the moment I can’t really be bothered. I enjoy being able to concentrate on music full time, even if it does mean I have to sacrifice a mortgage, a well-paid career, a wife and kids and maybe even a dog. I have too much fun with things how they are. The other day I even found time to practice my breakdancing. I’ve just about nailed my Windmill but I seem to be losing momentum on the third rotation.
I first started playing in a band at uni and we were really, really bad. We played songs by Blink-182, Silverchair, Green Day, Nirvana and loads of other bands that would throttle us if they ever heard our cover versions. I still like to play these songs in the practice room every now and again but they are still awful. Nothing’s changed there.
Here is a picture of John and I that was taken on Saturday. He was the drummer in the original incarnation of Swound and he now plays in a band called Godzilla Black. Check them out and download their album for free here: http://godzillablack.bandcamp.com

I’m going to try and dig out some photos and video from when we used to play at University…if I can stomach it. I’m already mentally preparing myself for the embarrassment.
Bye!
